Happy Holidays and wishing you a Happy New Year in 2026 from SSUFC.

On behalf of the SSUFC Board of Director, I wanted to provide you the following club updates as we move into 2026 Season.

Volunteers:

Treasurer: SSUFC is seeking a Treasurer, if you are interested, please contact president@ssunitedfc.com, orientation and transition with the current treasurer is provided!

Convenors: SSUFC requires Convenors for all Age Divisions, season operation is only successful with the help of Convenors. With the transition to the new soccer club Registration and Season Management Software, Power-Up, convening has never been easier and it has simplified the administrative and communication burden.

Helliwell Soccer Fields Lighting Upgrade:

SSUFC is actively Fundraising toward our Goal of $350k to fund the installation of Field Lighting at the Helliwell Soccer Fields in Southampton. This Town of Saugeen Shores project is underway and includes restructuring the existing soccer fields into two full size pitches with field lighting, providing the first lit soccer fields in Saugeen Shores! We are actively seeking Key Sponsors for both Primary Park Sponsor and Field Naming Sponsor. If you are looking to donate or become a Sponsor, contact info@ssunitedfc.com for additional information on Sponsorship Levels.

While this project brings exciting opportunities for the Club, it presents immediate challenges for the 2026 Season for field availability as the Helliwell Soccer Fields are not expected to be available for the 2026 Season. To mitigate this challenge, SSUFC has worked with the Town of Saugeen Shores to utilize and revive the Biener Soccer Field, as well as continued partnering with BWDSB for use of the SDSS Soccer Field and partnering with Southport Church for use of their soccer field. Field availability remains limited and some program days and times will change.

Transition to Power-Up:

SSUFC is aligning with Ontario Soccer and transitioning our Registration and Season Management Software to Power-Up Sports. SSUFC is excited about this upgrade as the change brings several enhancements to club and season administration.

What does this mean to our Members?

  • All Registrations will be managed through Power-Up and all users will be required to create a new account. Power-Up Sports
  • Power-Up App will be used for team schedule and communication, Download Here:

A special Thank You to our dedicated SSUFC Board Members, for their countless volunteer hours as we work through on-boarding Power-Up Software, Helliwell Soccer Field Project Fundraiser, and changes to our Age Divisions.

Looking forward to a successful 2026 Soccer Season.
