UPDATED July 8th 2020
The Club has decided that we will not proceed to the next step. There was many factors from logistics , capping & capacity of players, and having enough volunteers at the field each night. We will continue to monitor Canada Soccer and Ontario Soccer. The Club will be working on updating and posting policies along with admin. The provincial government has moved are region into Stage 3, with that in mind we will see what impact that could have on are rep tryouts (2021 teams), fall soccer and indoor soccer program. We will keep members and the community of Saugeen Shores updated and inform via Club website, social media and emails.
Please expect refunds by end of July, please contact club if you don't receive. Thanks for your understanding and patience
We saw a good return on the survey for RTP U8+ that players/parents were interested in some type of modified season. What needs to happen next, in the coming week we will be reaching out to volunteers-coaches and getting confirmation if they are able to help. Along with that we will be confirming player participation/age group. We are presently on Step 2.1, each step the board will review and decide the best course of action per membership, public health and Ontario Soccer.
Step 1 Survey U8+
Step 2 Review modified training season survey / review ontario soccer RTP protocols and recommendations document.
Step 2.1 Seeking Volunteers & confirming numbers for Player participation/age groups
Updated after July 8th BOD Meeting - Club has decided to stop, and will not be running modified training program this summer.
Step 3 Prepare Club RTP, Field & Equipment Safety Prep, Complete Canada Soccer's Risk Assessment Tool, Creation of Individual Training (what it will look like). Registration $50 and Waiver Info
Step 4 Implement & confirmation of SSUFC RTP, Registration Closes
Step 5 HIT THE PITCH "PITCH in, PLAY ON" approx. 6 wks ending in August. We would then review if there was enough interest for Fall Program.
The Registration "Home" is not currently available.
COVID-19 SSUFC Notice #4
Minor Soccer continues to monitor public health, and stands by to hear from our governing bodies on the Return to Play plan. We at the Club level are presently looking at alternatives to the season from group development training, cancellation of programs, and what a modified season may look like for Lakeshore SL and Rep Teams. All soccer activities for the month of June still are cancelled or postponed (COVID-19 SSUFC Notice #3 May 12th). We will continue to keep you updated.
Due to the uncertainty of the situation, physical distancing protocols, and the logistics among other things. The Board has decided that we will be Cancelling both the U4 and U6 Soccer Programs (Monday evenings & Saturday mornings) for the 2020 Outdoor Season. We have also cancelled challenger camp for these ages. We are just as disappointed as you that we had to cancel the programs. We hope to see you back next season.
We will be starting the Full Refund process next week, please be patient as we have a high volume of registrants at these age groups. If you haven't received a refund by the 21st of June please connect with firstname.lastname@example.org
*Refunds are made back to the original payment source.
Challenger Soccer Camp Update; we are presently reviewing options on modified camp and what that version may look like for age groups U8 and up. We will be touching base with those registered in June.
We will also be sending out a quick one question survey to membership with players in U8 and Up on their thoughts if we are able to provide some type of group development training this summer if the season was to be cancelled. This of course would have to fall in line with Canada Soccer's Return of Play Plan, and received provincial clearance.
